Snow, wind, no power and a lack of knitting or yarn
I did get out one of my beanies and wear it. Not because I actually needed a beanie, I have more than enough hair, but because it's what you're supposed to do in winter.
But the power is back on now and I'm doing my best to avoid going to the store during the Thanksgiving Holiday. It's working out so far, but the kids are starting to grumble about food, the little beggars.
Since there is all the Holiday nonsense going on I won't be shipping out any yarns this week. I'm happy to announce that there are only 5 Kickstarter rewards left to ship! I'm so excited to get them out the door. I'll be shipping them out next week. As long as I'm not snowed it or sulking in another power outage.
With the Kickstarter stuff coming to an end, I've been thinking about next steps. I'm kicking around the idea of having a Patreon page for Apocalypse Friday. Patreon is a croudfunding site, but unlike Kickstarter which is more for single projects, Patreon is for on going things, like a monthly subscription. I'd be offering things like discounts, free patterns, and yarn clubs. The funds would go toward equipment, dyes, new yarn bases and things like that.
My knitting gauge continues to be off and I've ripped out two hats. I really don't know what is going on. It is very bothersome though.
I started on a pair of fingerless gloves in some Hawthorne sock yarn I had left over from my birthday. It's going well so far, but I only have about 2 inches of cuff done. At this rate, I might have them done by next spring. lol.
Hopefully I won't have to frog them. I'm using my own basic pattern. If you are interested in the pattern comment below. If enough people ask for it, I'll take the time to write it up.
